About Kim Seeling Smith
Kim Seeling Smith is a 'Reinvention Guru' having achieved extraordinary results herself:
- Professional Reinvention - From Accountant to Recruitment Consultant to Career, Life and Business Coach, Trainer, Motivational Speaker and Writer.
- Relationship Reinvention - From married through a very amicable divorce and now successfully dating - again!
- Health & Wellness Reinvention - Shed 22 kilos then reshaped her body through yoga and healed herself of life-long asthma and allergies.
Kim was once described by her former boss as a "force to be reckoned with." Kim makes things happen for herself and she is passionate about helping others make things happen for them individually or in business to achieve extraordinary results.
She is a dynamic speaker, trainer, coach and mentor. Kim is also a part-time property investor, a recovering accountant and a dedicated yoga practitioner.
Initially trained as an American CPA with KPMG, Kim quickly realised that accounting was not her bliss. In the years since then she's started and operated 2 prior successful businesses, managed a small services firm and spent 15 years in recruitment working for large multi-nationals as well as smaller, boutique firms. During her time in recruitment Kim was a consistent individual top biller for Robert Half International in three markets in the United States and New Zealand (including being the #1 producer for permanent placement in the ANZ region for 2004, the last year she was a full-time recruiter). In addition to her significant individual contributions, Kim successfully re-launched the Auckland branch of Robert Half, growing the office from 2 temps out and zero perm revenue to the top brand in Auckland within 5 years. She has also hired and trained several repeat Chairman's Club winners in both the United States and New Zealand.
Kim has held several leadership roles within the community as well including;
- Chair of the Huntington's Disease Association, Auckland,
- Chair of the Dallas Chapter of the American Woman's Society of CPAs,
- Executive Committee Member of the Austin Sierra Club, and
- Co Chair of the Programs Committee for the Dallas Chapter of the American Woman's Society of CPAs (the year that that position won a national award in best programs).
- Kim is currently an active member of the Sydney CBD Rotary Club.
Kim is a Senior Leader for Robbins Research International and has participated in a number of other personal development forums including The Dale Carnegie Institute.
When not working to help create her own and others' dreams you can find Kim on a yoga mat, in the bush or on the water with paddle or sail in hand.
